CALL FOR DIRECTOR PROPOSALS
Lethbridge Musical Theatre is seeking proposals from interested directors for our Fall 2028 and Fall 2029 productions. With a standing booking at the Yates Memorial Theatre, performances are scheduled for the last week of October and the first week of November each year. Please note that these dates are fixed and cannot be adjusted.
Proposal Guidelines
To ensure a complete application, please include the following:

Director's Information:Â Full name, contact details, and a detailed theatre history highlighting relevant experience.

Proposed Show:Â The title of the show, cast details, and a brief synopsis. Please note that Lethbridge Musical Theatre currently has the ability to license shows from Concord Theatricals and Music Theatre International, but other licensing bodies may be considered.

Vision Statement:Â A narrative explaining your choice of show and the artistic vision you intend to bring to the production.

Production Requirements:Â Any special requirements for staging, design, or other aspects of the production.

Preferred Team Members:Â If applicable, include any preferred production team members (e.g., stage manager, music director, etc.).

Production Timeline:Â Outline key dates for auditions, rehearsal start dates, and any other important milestones in the lead-up to the performance period.

Initial Budget:Â A preliminary budget outlining anticipated costs for the production (e.g., set, costumes, rights, etc.).
Selection Process

Application Review: The Lethbridge Musical Theatre board will review all submissions.

Interviews: Shortlisted candidates may be invited for an interview with the board to discuss their proposal in more detail.

Final Decision: Directors will be notified of the board's decision following the interview process.
